# Create your Heropost account

Sign up with your email, Google or Facebook; with email, you confirm your address with a code or a link. Then Heropost opens with your free trial and your first workspace ready.

## Ways to sign up

Press **Start free** on heropost.ai, or **Create an account** on Heropost's **Log In** page. The **Sign Up** page offers three ways in:

- **Continue with Google**
- **Continue with Facebook**
- **Your email and a password**

There's no Apple sign-in. Inside the Instagram, Facebook or Messenger app, the Google button is hidden, because Google doesn't allow sign-in there: open the page in Safari or Chrome instead.

## Sign up with your email

1. On **Sign Up**, fill in **First Name**, **Last Name**, **Email**, **Password** and **Confirm Password**.
2. Turn on **I agree to all Terms of Services**.
3. Press **Next**. "After signing up you will be asked to validate your email address."
4. Confirm your email address (next section).

- **Names:** 2 to 50 characters each.
- **Password:** 7 to 20 characters, with at least one letter, one number and one special character such as ! or #, and no spaces.

## Confirm your email

Heropost sends you an email as soon as you press **Next**.

- **With a code:** the **Check your email** page says "We sent a 6-digit code to {email}." Type the code from the email (subject "{code} is your Heropost code") into **6-digit code**, or paste it, and press **Verify**. The email also has a link you can press instead.
- **With a link:** the page says **Verify your email!**. Press the link in the email "Hello {name}! Heropost Activation".

Then **Heropost Account Verified!** appears. Press **Log In** to open Heropost.

- **No email?** Check spam and promotions. **Resend in 00:45** counts down, then becomes **Resend**. You can get up to 10 code emails a day.
- **Typo in your address?** Press **Try another email** and sign up again.

## Sign up with Google or Facebook

1. On **Sign Up**, turn on **I agree to all Terms of Services** first. The Google and Facebook buttons only work once it's on.
2. Press **Continue with Google** or **Continue with Facebook**, and allow access.
3. Heropost opens. There's no confirmation email, because Google or Facebook has already confirmed your address.

- **One more step:** if Facebook or Google doesn't share your email, Heropost asks for it ("Your {Provider} account didn't share an email address with us.") and sends a link to confirm it.
- **Your email already has a Heropost account:** this connects Google or Facebook to it instead. Heropost may email you a link to confirm it's you first.
- **No Heropost password:** an account made with Google or Facebook has no password you know. To sign in with your email too, set one with **Forgot your password?** on **Log In**. See [Reset or change your password](/docs/account/password/).

## Joining someone's team?

Use the link in your invitation email instead of **Start free**. The **Sign Up** page opens with your email filled in and locked. Once you confirm it, you go straight into the workspace you were invited to. Accounts created this way work on the workspace owner's plan and don't get the free trial. ## What happens next

- **Your free trial starts.** No card is needed, and nothing is charged when it ends. See [Your 7-day trial](/docs/getting-started/free-trial/).
- **Your first workspace is ready,** named "My Workspace" and set to your browser's time zone. You can rename it later: see [Workspaces](/docs/social-accounts/workspaces/).
- **Home opens with Hero_Agent,** which walks you through connecting your accounts and planning your first posts. See [Quickstart](/docs/getting-started/quickstart/).

## If it doesn't work

| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| "Password should be from 7 to 20 character length and contain at least: 1 letter, 1 number and 1 special character (e.g. !@#$%^&\*)." | Choose a password that meets these rules. |
| "Your password can't contain blank spaces." | Remove the spaces. |
| "The password and confirmation password do not match." | Type the same password in both boxes. |
| "Please agree to our Terms of Services." | Turn on **I agree to all Terms of Services**. |
| The form says your email is already taken | You already have an account. Use **Log In**, or **Forgot your password?** if you don't remember the password. |
| No Google button | You're inside the Instagram, Facebook or Messenger app. Open the page in Safari or Chrome, or use Facebook or your email. |
| "In order for this website to function correctly, please prevent cross-site tracking of your cookies. …" (Safari) | Follow the steps in the message, then press **I understand**. |
| "That code isn't right. Check the latest email and try again." | Use the code from the newest email. |
| **This link has expired** | Log in: Heropost sends a new code. |

## Questions

**Do I need a credit card to sign up?**

No. The free trial needs no card, and nothing is charged when it ends.


**Can I sign up with Apple?**

No. Use Google, Facebook or your email.


**I used Heropost before. Do I need a new account?**

No. Log in with the same email as before, using **Forgot your password?** if you need to. Your workspaces are still there.


**Can I change my email later?**

Yes, in **Profile settings**. Read the warning first: see [Profile settings](/docs/account/profile/#change-your-email).


**Why are the sign-up pages in German?**

The sign-up and sign-in pages follow your browser's language. If German comes first in your browser's language list, you see German text. Put English first in your browser's settings to see English.
