## The 12 networks

Heropost publishes to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, Google Business Profile, Reddit and Telegram. In the app, Google Business Profile is called **Google My Business**.

X, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky and Google Business Profile are Heropost's **premium networks**. On the plans sold today, they count like any other account. The original Lifetime plan can't connect them. Posting to X uses X credits on every plan: see [Connect X](/docs/networks/x/).

Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Bluesky and Reddit take photos or one video, not both in the same post. Stories never take a first comment. YouTube decides by itself whether a video becomes a Short; Heropost uploads it as a regular video.

## Caption and first-comment limits

Limits as the post editor counts them. The editor warns you as soon as a version is too long.

## What Heropost doesn't post

These aren't available on any network today, so plan them directly in the network's own app:

- Music, polls and image alt text.
- Tagging people on Instagram, and Instagram collaborators. (On Facebook and LinkedIn you can @mention Pages in the caption.)
- Facebook Reels and Live videos, and posts to Facebook Groups or personal profiles.
- X threads, and X posts longer than 280 characters.
- LinkedIn documents (PDF carousels).

## Questions

**Why is Google Business Profile called Google My Business in Heropost?**

Google renamed its product, and Heropost still uses the older name in the app. Both names mean the same thing.


**Do Instagram videos go out as Reels?**

Yes. Every Instagram video with the post type **Media** is published as a Reel. Choose **Story** to post a Story instead. On Facebook, videos are published as regular Page videos.


**Some logos in the Add Social Accounts window are dimmed. Why?**

Those networks can't be connected. Only the 12 networks on this page can.


**Which networks cost extra?**

Only X: every post to X uses one X credit, because X charges for each post published through its API. The other networks don't use credits.
