What you can delete yourself#
| What | Where | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| A post | The post editor or the calendar | See Edit, reschedule or delete a post. |
| Photos and videos | Media Library | See The Media Library. |
| A social account | Social Accounts → ⋮ on the account → Delete | It leaves the workspace, its drafts, scheduled posts and automations, and scheduled posts are no longer published to it. See Remove an account. |
| An AI tool connection | Home → Connect your AI tools | The tool loses access at once. See Links, permissions and activity. |
| A Hero_Photo subject, with its photos and trained likeness | Hero_Photo | See Train a subject. |
| A team member | Team → Members | They lose access at once. See Invite your team. |
| A whole workspace | The workspace menu → Settings → Delete | Everything in it. See below. |
Deleting something in Heropost doesn't remove posts that were already published: they stay on the social networks.
Delete a workspace#
Only the workspace owner sees Settings in the workspace menu.
- Switch to the workspace you want to delete.
- Click the workspace name at the top of Heropost, then Settings.
- Press Delete. Heropost asks: Delete Workspace? "This will permanently delete the workspace with all of its accounts, posts and content. Are you sure?"
- Press Delete. Heropost shows Workspace deleted successfully.
- What's removed: the workspace's social accounts and their connections, its posts and their files, and its automations. Team members lose access to it.
- There's no undo.
- You keep at least one workspace. Deleting your last one shows "You should have at least one workspace".

Stop Heropost's access at a network#
Deleting a social account in Heropost (see the table above) stops Heropost from posting to it. The permission you gave Heropost on the network stays until you remove it there, so to withdraw it completely, also remove Heropost in the network's settings:
- Facebook and Instagram: in Facebook, go to Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, select Heropost and choose Remove.
- Google and YouTube: remove Heropost on your Google Account's security page, under third-party access.
- Other networks: look for connected apps in the network's settings.
To have the data Heropost received from a network deleted, email support@heropost.ai.
Removing access at the network stops posting. Heropost can't publish to that account any more, and its scheduled posts there fail until you reconnect it.
Delete your Heropost account#
There's no delete button in the app. Email support@heropost.ai from the address registered to your account and ask for your account to be deleted. We verify that the request comes from you, then delete it.
Before you write to us:
- Cancel any subscription on your Billing page, so nothing renews. See Cancel a subscription.
- Save what you want to keep, such as photos, videos and your results. See Export your analytics to CSV.
- Tell your team. People you invited lose access to your workspaces.
What deletion covers, from the Data Deletion Instructions:
- "Deleting your account removes your profile, your posts and scheduled content, your connected social accounts, and their access tokens."
- "When an account is deleted, the associated Personal Data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records by law (for example, billing records)."
- Hero_Photo person subjects are deleted the same way as when you delete them yourself.
Your plan belongs to your login, so it ends with the account, lifetime plans included. Workspaces you were invited to belong to their owners and aren't affected.
Get a copy of your data or correct it#
Under the Privacy Policy, you can ask to see and receive a copy of the personal data Heropost holds about you, have it corrected or deleted, or limit how it's used.
- Write to support@heropost.ai or use the contact page. For the Privacy Officer, mark your message "Privacy".
- We may ask you to confirm your identity. "We respond to verified requests within 30 days."
- You can change your name and email yourself in Profile settings.
When your plan or trial ends#
Nothing is deleted. Your workspaces, social accounts and posts stay in your account, and Billing and Profile settings stay open. Choose a plan to carry on: see Plans compared.
Questions#
Can I undo deleting a workspace?
No. Deleting a workspace is permanent.
How do I leave a workspace someone invited me to?
There's no Leave button. Ask its owner or an Admin to remove you. See Working in someone else's workspace.
I can't sign in any more. Can I still have my account deleted?
Yes. Email support@heropost.ai from the address registered to the account and ask for deletion. We'll verify it's you first.
Does deleting a social account in Heropost delete my posts on that network?
No. Posts already published stay on the network. Only Heropost's copy and its scheduled posts to that account are affected.
