Forgot your password#
- On Log In, click Forgot your password?.
- On Reset your password, type the email you signed up with and press Send recovery link.
- Open the email "Reset your Heropost account password" and press the link. It works for 2 hours.
- On Set a new password, type the new password in New password and Confirm new password.
- Press Set a new password. You're signed in with it.
- The confirmation page looks the same whether or not the email has an account: "If {email} is the address of a registered user, please check your email inbox for instructions on how to reset your password." Check that you typed the right address.
- No email after 5 minutes? Check spam and promotions, then press Resend when its countdown ends.
- The link only works once. An old or used link shows We have a problem: "Sorry, an error occurred while executing your request." Ask for a new link.
- Locked out after too many tries? A reset works while the 15-minute lock runs.
Change your password#
You need to be signed in and know your current password.
- Click your name at the bottom of the left menu, then Profile settings.
- Press Change Password (Change password on a phone).
- In the Change password window, fill in Current Password, New Password and Repeat New Password. The eye button shows what you typed.
- Press Done. Heropost shows Password changed successfully.
If the current password is wrong, the field says "Incorrect password." and nothing changes.
Signed up with Google or Facebook?#
An account made with Google or Facebook has no password you know, so the Change password window won't work for you. Set your first password with the reset link instead:
- Log out (your name at the bottom of the left menu → Logout).
- On Log In, click Forgot your password? and enter the email of your Google or Facebook account.
- Follow the email and set a password.
You can then sign in either way: with Google or Facebook, or with your email and password.
