Workspaces and accounts#
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Workspace | A space for one brand or client, with its own social accounts, posts, drafts, calendar, automations, time zone and Hero_Agent knowledge. Your first one is called My Workspace. Switch with the workspace name at the top. Workspaces |
| Workspace owner | The person who created the workspace. The workspace uses the owner's plan, including its AI allowance. |
| Workspace time zone | The time zone every scheduled time in that workspace uses. To set it, click your workspace name at the top of Heropost, then Settings, and choose Time Zone. |
| Social account | One Page, profile, channel, board or business location you've connected, such as a Facebook Page or a Pinterest board. Heropost's buttons also call it a profile (Add Profile). Each one counts toward your plan. Connect a social account |
| Network | A social platform: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, Google Business Profile (shown as Google My Business in Heropost), Reddit or Telegram. Networks at a glance |
| Reconnect | Sign in to the network again to renew Heropost's access to an account. The account and its scheduled posts stay. Reconnect an account |
| Paused | Heropost stopped posting to an account after repeated failed posts. Reconnect it to resume. What the account markers mean |
| Invite Profile | A link you email to a client so they can connect their own accounts to your workspace, without sharing passwords. Let a client connect their own accounts |
| Watermark | Your logo stamped on photos when they're published, for a whole workspace or one account. Add a watermark |

|---|---|
| Post | One piece of content, sent to one or more accounts on one or more networks. Each network gets its own tab in the post editor. The post editor |
| All tab | The shared version of a post that several networks use. On a network's tab, Take … from the All tab decides whether that network uses it. Write once, then adjust it for each network |
| Draft | A saved post that isn't scheduled. Heropost saves as you type. A draft is never published, even if you gave it a date. Find drafts under Content → Drafts. |
| Scheduled | A post waiting for its date and time. It's locked: pressing Edit turns it back into a draft until you schedule it again. Edit, reschedule or delete a post |
| In Progress / Posting | The post is being published right now. |
| Published | The post went out. In the editor, Published 3/4 means 3 of the 4 selected accounts succeeded. |
| Pending Approval | A team member submitted the post, and it's waiting for an owner or Admin. |
| Posting error | A post or first comment that a network refused. Listed with the reason under Content → Posting Errors. The Posting Errors page |

| AI tool connection | A private link that lets ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or another MCP tool work in one of your workspaces. Set up under Home → Connect your AI tools. Use Heropost from your AI tools |

| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Plan | Growth, Pro or Agency. Each includes the scheduler, Hero_Agent, Hero_Photo and AI-tool connections, in different amounts. Plans compared |
| Lifetime plan | One payment instead of a subscription. Lifetime covers the scheduler — yours for life, with every scheduler update. Anything that runs on live AI usage is separate. Lifetime plans explained |
| Free trial | Seven days for new accounts, no card needed. Billing shows it as Unlimited trial. Your 7-day trial |
| X credit | X charges for every post published through its API, so each post to X uses one X credit. Sold in packs. X credits |
| Credit pack | 100 extra Hero_Photo credits, for anyone with a Hero_Agent plan. Hero_Photo credits |
| Free plan | What Billing shows when you have no active plan, for example after the trial. |
Questions#
What's the difference between a workspace and a social account?
A workspace is the container for one brand or client. Social accounts are the Pages, profiles, channels and boards you connect inside it. One workspace can hold many social accounts, and each account belongs to the workspace you connected it in.
Is a draft with a date the same as a scheduled post?
No. A draft is never published, even when its date passes. Press Schedule All to turn it into a scheduled post. See Schedule, publish now, or save a draft.
What's the difference between an AI action and a photo credit?
AI actions are used by Hero_Agent and connected AI tools when they create a post or send an inbox reply. Photo credits are used by Hero_Photo when it makes a photo, graphic or video. They're counted separately.
Why does Heropost say Google My Business?
It's the older name of Google Business Profile. In Heropost, the network's tab and messages still use it. See Connect Google Business Profile.
