Ask Hero_Agent what's working

How it works#

Hero_Agent reads the results Heropost collects from your connected accounts, the same data as the Analytics page. It compares periods, ranks your posts and explains what changed, using cards with the numbers. Then it suggests what to do next, and can draft the posts when you ask.

Reading results is free: it uses no actions. Each message you send counts as one Hero_Agent chat message.

Hero_Agent reports on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Threads: those are the networks Heropost collects results for.

What to ask#

Ask You get Period, unless you say otherwise
What were the main insights from last week? A summary of reach and engagement, your best posts, and what to do differently Last week
"How did Instagram do this month compared with last month?" Performance · {from} – {to}: reach, views, impressions, engagements, engagement rate, reactions, comments, shares and posts, each with ▲ or ▼ against the previous period Last 30 days
"Why did reach change last week?" The numbers that moved, the posts behind them and possible reasons The period you name
"What were my top posts this month?" Top posts, ranked by engagements or by views Last 30 days, top 5 (ask for up to 20)
"What are my best times to post?" Best times to post: a heatmap of morning, afternoon, evening and night for each day of the week Last 90 days
"Do videos or carousels work better for me?" What formats work: posts, engagements and views per post for each format Last 90 days
"How many followers did we gain this month?" Follower growth · {from} – {to}: followers, the change, and a small chart for each account Last 30 days
"Did my Instagram post go out?" Each network's status, with a link to the published post or the reason it failed That post
"What's on my calendar next week? Which days are empty?" Posts, grouped by day, with their status The dates you name

You can narrow any question to one network ("only LinkedIn") or a period ("from September 1 to 15").

How to read the cards#

  • Comparisons set each period against the one before it, of the same length. The arrows show the change in percent.
  • Totals add up all your accounts on the networks you asked about. Follower growth is shown per account.
  • Missing numbers: a metric a network doesn't provide is left out of the card.
  • Best times count only time slots with at least 2 posts, ranked by average engagements, in your workspace's time zone. With too little history the card says "Not enough posting history yet — publish more and this fills in."
  • Formats are marked limited data or small sample when there are only a few posts of that kind. Treat those as a hint, not a rule.
  • Follower counts on account lists are as last synced, not live.

How far back it can look#

Hero_Agent can look back as far as your plan's analytics go. If you ask for an earlier date, it tells you how far back the plan's analytics go and the earliest date it can use. Plan details: Analytics.

Turn insights into posts#

Ask for the next step in the same conversation:

  • "Write three posts like my best one last month." (1 action per post saved)
  • "Plan next week at my best times." Hero_Agent shows a plan first, then asks for your approval before scheduling.
  • Press Fill my empty days this week. Hero_Agent reads your calendar and drafts posts for the empty days, based on what has performed well before.

With little posting history, Hero_Agent says so and uses sensible defaults, such as one post per network each weekday.

Comments and messages#

Ask "What comments and DMs are waiting for me?" to get an Inbox · N threads card with Open inbox, or press Draft replies to my waiting messages for a reply card per conversation. Each reply you send asks for your approval first and uses 1 action. What Hero_Agent can read in each network's inbox: What Hero_Agent can see and do.

Account health#

Ask "Which of my accounts need reconnecting?" The Connected accounts card lists each account with its followers, marks any that "needs attention" with the reason, and has a Reconnect button. See Reconnect an account.

If it doesn't work#

What you see What it means What to do
"Not enough posting history yet — publish more and this fills in." Best times need at least 2 posts in the same time slot. Keep posting, or ask about a longer period.
"Nothing here for this range." No posts in the dates you asked about. Ask about other dates, or check the workspace you're in.
"No waiting messages." Nothing is waiting in your Social Inbox. Nothing to do.
A network is missing from the report Hero_Agent reports on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Threads. Check other networks in the network's own app.
Hero_Agent says your plan's analytics only go back a number of days You asked for dates before your plan's analytics window. Ask about a shorter period, or see Plans compared.
An account shows "needs attention" The account's connection needs to be renewed. Press Reconnect.

Questions#

Does asking about my results use actions?

No. Reading results, your calendar and your inbox is free. Only posts Hero_Agent creates and inbox replies it sends use actions.

Which time zone are best times in?

Your workspace's time zone, which is also the time zone Hero_Agent uses when it schedules.

Can Hero_Agent compare two of my accounts?

For followers, yes: Follower growth shows each account separately. Reach and engagement are totals per network, so ask about one network at a time to compare networks.

Can it see my competitors' results?

No. Hero_Agent only reads results for the accounts connected to your workspace.

Can I get a report as a file?

Hero_Agent answers in the chat. To download your results, use the export on the Analytics page: Export your results.
