Open Billing#
- Click your name at the bottom of the left menu.
- Choose Billing.
On a phone, open the menu at the top of the screen first, then tap your name at the bottom of it.
The page is called Plan & billing: "Manage your plan, usage and add-ons in one place." Billing stays open to you even when your plan has ended, so you can always pick a plan or reach your invoices.
Billing belongs to your login, not to a workspace. It shows the plans and credits you bought, whichever workspace you have open.
Your plan#
The card at the top names the plan you own. What it says tells you where you stand:
| What the card shows | What it means |
|---|---|
| Plan name and price (for example "$49 /month", or "every 12 months" for yearly), then "Renews {date} · ${price}" | An active subscription. It renews on that date. |
| "Cancels on {date} — you keep access until then." | You canceled. Everything keeps working until that date, then the plan isn't renewed. |
| Plan name with a LIFETIME tag and "One payment · yours forever" | A lifetime plan. Nothing renews. |
| A lifetime plan, plus "Your earlier {plan} subscription ({price}) ends on {date} and will not be charged again." | You own lifetime, and an older subscription is ending. |
| A lifetime plan, plus "You also have a {plan} subscription: {price}, renews {date}." | You own lifetime and still pay for a subscription. See Cancel a subscription if you don't need it. |
| Unlimited trial — "Your free trial — pick a plan any time to keep going." | You're on the free trial. |
| Free plan — "Limited features — upgrade any time." | This login has no plan. |
Same name, different plan. Growth, Pro and Agency without a tag are the AI plans. Starter or Agency with a LIFETIME tag are lifetime plans. Older plans show their own names, such as Essentials or Advanced.
If you work in someone else's workspace and have no plan of your own, Billing shows only this: "Your plan is provided by your workspace owner. You don't need a subscription to collaborate here." with a Get your own plan → link.
Usage#
The Usage section shows what you've used against your plan's limits, as "used / limit" or "used / Unlimited". Counts cover all your workspaces.
| Meter | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Workspaces | Workspaces you own. |
| Social accounts | Social accounts connected in your workspaces. |
| Agent connections | AI tools connected to Heropost (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and others). |
| AI actions per month | Posts created and inbox replies sent by Hero_Agent and your AI tools this month. |
| Photo credits this month | Hero_Photo credits used from this month's allowance, plus how many you have from packs. Without a Hero_Agent plan it reads Free photo credits (the 10 to try). |
| Storage (GB) | Space used by the media you've uploaded. |
| X posting credits | X credits you have left ("{n} available"). |
Billing has no meter for automations, team members or posts.
Upgrade#
The next section depends on what you have. The first card is marked RECOMMENDED.
- An AI plan or an older scheduler subscription: Upgrade your plan shows the next plans up, with "Upgrade instantly — pay only the prorated difference today." and an Upgrade to {plan} button.
- Lifetime Starter or Lifetime Growth: Upgrade your lifetime deal — "Move up to {plan} with a one-time payment — no subscription." with View upgrade offers →.
- No paid plan yet (including the free trial): Upgrade, with a See all plans → link.
- If Billing can't load your upgrade options, it says "To change your plan, use the Stripe billing portal via the links below." Use Invoices & payment methods at the bottom of the page.
How upgrades work: Upgrade or change your plan.
AI plans: Plans or AI agents#
The AI plans section is headed AI agents or Plans, depending on your account:
- Plans (no subscription of your own: free trial, a lifetime plan, or no plan): Growth, Pro and Agency, each with Get {plan}. Lifetime Starter, Growth and Agency holders see their member price.
- AI agents (you pay for an older scheduler plan): the add-ons Agent Growth, Agent Pro and Agent Agency, "Billed monthly, separate from your plan. Cancel anytime." Once you have one, the card reads AI agents — {plan} with its renewal, Upgrade to {plan} buttons and Cancel add-on →.
Details: AI plans and your monthly AI allowance.
Add-ons#
- Photo credits (shown when you have a Hero_Agent plan): how many credits you have left, what each output costs, and a 100 credits $15 · one-time button. Open Hero_Photo → takes you to the studio. While your Hero_Agent plan is set to end, packs are paused.
- X posting credits: "You have {n} X credits left. One credit publishes one post to X. Credits never expire." with one button per pack (120 credits, 300 credits, 600 credits) and See details →. See X credits.
Links at the bottom#
| Link | Shown when | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Invoices & payment methods | You've bought something | Opens the secure billing portal in a new tab: invoices, card, billing details. See Invoices, receipts and payment methods. |
| See all plans | You don't pay for a subscription | Opens the plans page, with monthly, annual and lifetime options. |
| Cancel plan | You have one active subscription that isn't already set to cancel | Opens the billing portal to cancel. See Cancel a subscription. |
Nothing opens? The billing portal opens in a new tab. If your browser blocks pop-ups, allow them for app.heropost.io and press the link again.
Questions#
I upgraded. Do I need to sign out?
No. Billing shows "You're now on {plan} — the upgrade is active immediately." and the new plan applies straight away.
I paid, but Billing doesn't show my new plan yet.
If the payment page said "Your payment went through" and "We’re finishing setup.", press Continue to Heropost and give it a moment. Refresh Billing, or sign out and back in once. If the plan still doesn't show, contact support with the email you paid with and your receipt.
Why do my usage numbers include other workspaces?
Plan limits apply to your whole account, so Billing counts every workspace you own.
Can a team member see or change my billing?
No. Billing belongs to each login. Team members see their own Billing page; if they have no plan of their own, it tells them their plan is provided by the workspace owner.
