Where you sign in#

Heropost's sign-in page is Log In: open any Heropost page while signed out and you land there. You can use Continue with Google, Continue with Facebook, or your email and password. Remember me is ticked by default and keeps you signed in on that browser. After you sign in, Heropost takes you back to the page you were trying to open.

"Invalid email or password."#

  • Check you're using the email you signed up with, and that Caps Lock is off.
  • Signed up with Google or Facebook? Use that button instead. To also have a password, use Forgot your password? to set one.
  • After 5 wrong passwords, the account is locked for 15 minutes. The message stays "Invalid email or password." during that time. Wait 15 minutes, or reset your password.
  1. On Log In, click Forgot your password?.
  2. Enter your email and press Send recovery link.
  3. Open the email "Reset your Heropost account password" and press the link. It's valid for 2 hours.
  4. Enter a new password twice and press Set a new password.

The confirmation page says the same thing whether or not the email has an account, so check you typed the right address. If the link has expired or was already used, you'll see We have a problem — "Sorry, an error occurred while executing your request." Ask for a new link. More: Reset or change your password.

The confirmation email didn't arrive#

After signing up with email, Heropost sends a confirmation email: a 6-digit code to type on the Check your email page (subject "{code} is your Heropost code"), with a link you can press instead. If your email has only a link ("Hello {name}! Heropost Activation"), press the link.

  • Check spam and promotions folders for an email from Heropost.
  • Resend: the button reads Resend in 00:45 and counts down, then becomes Resend. You can get up to 10 code emails a day.
  • Typo in your email? Press Try another email and sign up again.
  • Logged in before confirming? You'll see Your email address still not verified, and a new code or link is sent automatically.
Message What to do
"That code isn't right. Check the latest email and try again." Use the code in the newest email.
"Too many wrong tries for this code. Send a new code." Press Resend for a new code.
"Too many wrong codes. Use the link in the email instead." Press the link in the email.
"Too many tries from this network. Wait a while, or use the link in the email." Wait, or press the link.
This link has expired — "Log in to get a new code, or sign up again." Log in; a new code is sent.
"User's email has already been verified." You're confirmed. Log in.

Google or Facebook sign-in problems#

  • Inside the Instagram, Facebook or Messenger app, the Google button is hidden, because Google doesn't allow sign-in there. If you came from a link, you'll see "Google sign-in doesn't work inside the Instagram or Facebook app. Copy the link and open it in Safari or Chrome, or continue with Facebook or your email." Press Copy link and open it in your browser.
  • Your email already has a Heropost account. The first time you use Google or Facebook with it, Heropost may email you a link to confirm it's you ("Confirm it's you to sign in with {Google or Facebook}"). It expires in 30 minutes. If it has expired: This link has expired — "It may have been used already. Sign in again and we'll send you a new one."
  • One more step: if Google or Facebook didn't share your email, enter it and confirm it from the email Heropost sends.
  • "This Google account is connected to a different Heropost account." (or Facebook): that login belongs to another Heropost account. Sign in to that account, or use your email and password.
  • "Your sign-in timed out. Please try again.", "Error from external provider: {error}" or "Error loading external login information.": start again, or sign in with your email.

Signed out unexpectedly#

When your session ends, Heropost sends you to Log In and brings you back to the page you were on. To stay signed in on a browser you trust, keep Remember me ticked. Opening the sign-up page while signed in signs you out first.

Questions#

I have two Heropost accounts by mistake.

Email support@heropost.ai from both addresses and say which one should be your main account. We'll confirm the steps before changing anything.

I can't sign in, but I need to cancel my plan.

Email support@heropost.ai from the email on your account. See Cancel a subscription.

I used Heropost before. Do I need a new account?

No. Sign in with the same email as before, using Forgot your password? if you need to. Your workspaces are still on that account. Connected social accounts usually need reconnecting after a long break.
