What an action is#
Hero_Agent and your connected AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and others) work with AI that costs money every time it runs, so they use a monthly allowance of actions. As Hero_Agent puts it on Home: "Each post I create and each reply I send is one action. Editing, scheduling, publishing, reading, analytics and writing copy here are free."
The AI for writing in the post editor (AI captions, hashtags and rewriting) is separate. It's unlimited on the plans sold today and uses no actions. Hero_Photo uses photo credits.

One post is one action, however many accounts it goes to and however many times it's edited, scheduled or published.

Your monthly allowance#
Every plan includes 30 AI actions, 300 Hero_Agent messages and 3 connected AI tools a month, plus 10 Hero_Photo credits once. The Growth, Pro and Agency plans include more:

Chat messages#
Every message you send to Hero_Agent on Home counts as one chat message, whatever you ask. Connected AI tools don't use chat messages: when the month's messages run out, your AI tools keep working.
Whose allowance is used#
- The workspace owner's. Hero_Agent and AI tools always use the plan of the person who owns the workspace. When a team member asks Hero_Agent for a post, it comes out of the owner's actions.
- One pool across workspaces. Actions and chat messages are counted for the owner across all the workspaces they own.
- Shared by both ways in. Hero_Agent on Home and your connected AI tools draw on the same actions.
A team member who buys a plan on their own login doesn't raise the allowance in someone else's workspace.
When it resets#
At the start of each calendar month, in UTC: midnight UTC on the 1st. In the Americas that's the evening of the last day of the month. Unused actions and chat messages don't carry over.

When you run out#
Nothing is charged when you reach a limit. The action isn't carried out, and everything you've already made stays.

Get more#
- Upgrade the AI plan in Billing: Growth → Pro → Agency. The new allowance applies straight away, and you pay only the prorated difference that day. See Upgrade or change your plan.
- Actions aren't sold on their own. More actions come with a bigger plan.
- Wait for the 1st. Your allowance resets at the start of the next month (UTC).
Make a small allowance go further#
- Ask for changes to a draft rather than a new post: edits are free.
- Send one post to several accounts: it's still one action.
- Size a batch on the setup card first. The estimate shows the actions before anything is written.
- Schedule and publish as much as you like: it's free.
- Posts you write yourself in the post editor never use actions, and AI captions there are unlimited on the plans sold today.
Questions#
Do unused actions roll over?
No. Actions and chat messages reset at the start of each calendar month (UTC).
Does one post to several accounts count once?
Yes. One post is one action, however many accounts and networks it goes to.
Do scheduling and publishing use actions?
No. Scheduling, publishing and editing are free, from Hero_Agent and from AI tools.
A team member uses Hero_Agent in my workspace. Whose allowance is used?
Yours, as the workspace owner. Hero_Agent and AI tools always use the plan of the person who owns the workspace.
Do AI captions in the post editor use actions?
No. AI captions, hashtags and rewriting are the AI for writing, included in your plan. See AI captions, hashtags and rewriting.
Can I buy extra actions without changing plan?
No. To get more actions, move to a bigger AI plan.
What happens to my drafts when I run out?
They stay where they are. You can still edit, schedule and publish them, from Hero_Agent, your AI tools or the post editor.
